Job Title: Senior Management Accountant – PropertyLocation: SE1, LondonReporting to: Head of FinanceSalary: Up to £70k per annumJob Type: Full-time Role OverviewBlack Sheep Coffee is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Property Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in in managing all financial aspects of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills and experience in property finance within the retail or hospitality sector. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage the monthly accounting process and reporting for all property costs including lease accounting under IFRS 16</li><li>Perform monthly reconciliations of the property balance sheet including rent, rates, service charges, utilities and other property costs</li><li>Own preparation of all sections of the property month end Management pack, including insightful variance analysis on both the property P&amp;L and balance sheet</li><li>Business partner the Head of Construction &amp; Facilities on new store openings and property investment programmes</li><li>Identify and implement new processes to streamline current property financial reporting processes</li><li>Support with budgeting and forecasting for property P&amp;L, balance sheet and cash flow. Identify and communicate risks &amp; opportunities against the budget and forecast</li><li>Identify opportunities to optimise property costs and work with the business to deliver these</li><li>Work with landlords, property agents and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments and resolution of property-related financial matters</li><li>Own all Fixed Asset accounting reporting processes</li><li>Support Head of Finance with inputs and assumptions for new store appraisals</li></ul> Skills &amp; Experience Required<ul><li>Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)</li><li>Previous experience in property accounting, ideally within a retail, hospitality, or quick-service environment</li><li>A good understanding of the IFRS and FRS 102, including knowledge of statutory accounts and relevant disclosures</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite experience a plus) and Microsoft Excel</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities</li><li>Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, landlords and property agents and influence decisions</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li></ul> Benefits<ul><li>Annual discretionary bonus - up to 15% of salary paid in previous year</li><li>Unlimited coffee - Barista made from any of our stores</li><li>50% discount on food &amp; smoothies from any of our stores</li><li>Free breakfast in the office and fully stocked drinks fridge</li><li>Quarterly team socials &amp; monthly team drinks</li></ul> About Black Sheep CoffeeJoin the thriving team at Black Sheep Coffee, the rapidly expanding 4th largest coffee chain in the UK.
