Job Title: Finance Coordinator
Location: SE1, London
Reporting to: Finance Lead
Salary: Up to £35k per annum
Job Type: Full-time in office
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and high-performing professional to join our team as a Finance Coordinator. This position would suit someone early in their Finance career, offering a well-rounded introduction to the workings of a Finance Department within an exciting scale-up business. Ideal for someone eager to build their analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you’ll gain exposure to various finance functions – from invoice processing to month-end reporting and analysis – while supporting process improvements and system efficiency. You’ll also receive support towards obtaining an accounting qualification, with the opportunity to transition into areas such as management accounting or commercial finance. This is a great opportunity to grow your finance career within a dynamic and scaling organisation.
Role responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Accurately review and process supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements and assist with payment processing
- Accounts Receivable: Raise all customer invoices accurately and on-time, ensuring timely collections and reconciliation of receipts
- Vendor & Customer Relations: Proactively engage with stakeholders to respond to queries and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, fostering clear communication and strong relationships
- Deliver Insightful Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly and monthly reports for business leaders that provide key insights and highlight critical information to support informed decision-making
- Financial Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank transactions and general ledger accounts to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Expense Analysis: Support employee expense processing and help identify trends or areas for improvement in reporting and compliance
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team and the wider company to unlock efficiencies and recommend solutions to improve finance processes and tools
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a Finance Department or a multi-site retail environment is advantageous, but not essential
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an interest in solving problems and optimizing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite is a plus
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Ideally a graduate in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Benefits
