Position Overview:

As the IT Manager at Black Sheep Coffee, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing key IT projects, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and fostering innovation throughout the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will be instrumental in driving the company's technological advancements and maintaining a competitive edge in the coffee industry.


Responsibilities:


IT Project Management:

  • Lead and manage critical IT projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting all requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Regularly communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including the Head of IT and senior management.


Process Improvement:

  • Analyse existing IT processes and identify areas for optimization and efficiency enhancement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their unique needs and challenges, providing IT solutions that align with business goals.


Innovation and Technology Advancement:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT services, infrastructure, and practices to maintain Black Sheep Coffee's position as a forward-thinking and innovative company.
  • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies that improve operational effectiveness and customer experience.


New Store Setup and Expansion:

  • Collaborate with the Head of IT and relevant stakeholders to plan and execute IT requirements for new store openings.
  • Assess the IT infrastructure needs for each new location, including hardware, software, network, and security considerations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary IT equipment and services within established budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of IT systems in new stores, ensuring they are operational before the store's launch.
  • Provide on-site support during store setups, resolving any IT-related issues that may arise.


Franchisee Onboarding:

  • Act as the primary IT point of contact for franchisees during the onboarding process, addressing their IT-related queries and concerns.
  • Guide franchisees through the implementation of Black Sheep Coffee's IT standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with the brand's technology guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions to familiarize franchisees with the company's IT systems, software, and operational procedures.
  • Assist franchisees in procuring and setting up IT infrastructure to align with the brand's standards and meet operational requirements.


IT Security and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the IT team to establish and enforce security protocols, data protection measures, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct periodic security assessments and audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure that IT practices adhere to relevant industry regulations and internal policies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a track record of successful IT project delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimizing IT operations.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring and implementing new technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse IT team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the coffee industry or the hospitality sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
