Position Overview:

As the Senior IT Manager at Black Sheep Coffee, you will be responsible for the entire IT function, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will play a crucial role in overseeing all IT operations, driving technological advancements, and ensuring the alignment of IT strategies with business goals. Your leadership and expertise will be key in maintaining our competitive edge in the coffee industry and supporting our growth initiatives.



Responsibilities:


1. Global IT Support Management:

- Oversee IT support for Black Sheep Coffee shops globally, ensuring efficient and effective technical support across all locations.

- Manage the relationship with an external IT support partner, ensuring they deliver high-quality service and meet SLA requirements.

- Coordinate with the external partner to handle IT issues, incidents, and requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to coffee shop operations.

- Develop and monitor performance metrics for the external IT support partner, driving continuous improvement and accountability.


2. IT Infrastructure Management:

- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.

- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.


3. Cybersecurity and Compliance:

- Develop and implement robust network and infrastructure security protocols and measures to safeguard against cyber threats.

- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Maintain an Incident Response Plan, including specific procedures for responding to ransomware attacks, and conduct simulated exercises to test the plan.

- Manage access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive information.

- Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and laws.


4. IT Project Management:

- Lead and manage critical IT projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting all requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

- Regularly communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including the Managing Director and senior management.


5. Process Improvement:

- Analyse existing IT processes and identify areas for optimisation and efficiency enhancement.

- Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity.

- Collaborate with various teams to understand their unique needs and challenges, providing IT solutions that align with business goals.


6. IT Budget and Financial Management:

- Develop, manage, and oversee the IT budget, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.

- Review and approve IT-related invoices in line with contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed terms.

- Negotiate IT contracts to secure favourable terms and cost-effective solutions.

- Monitor and control IT expenditures to ensure cost-efficiency and budget compliance.



Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus but not essential.

- Proven experience as a Senior IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a track record of successful IT project delivery.

- Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and software development.

- Multi-unit retail experience is essential with familiarity with the hospitality sector

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

- Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team.
