Position Overview:

As the IT Manager at Black Sheep Coffee, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing key IT projects, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and fostering innovation throughout the organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will be instrumental in driving the company's technological advancements and maintaining a competitive edge in the coffee industry.


Responsibilities:


1. IT Infrastructure Management:

· Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure including hardware, software and networks.

· Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.


2. Systems/Applications and Digital Listings Management:

· Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and systems.

· Manage and update digital listings to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for products and new site launches.

· Collaborate with relevant teams to coordinate the integration of digital listings with product launches and site openings.


3. Cybersecurity and Compliance:

· Develop and implement robust network & infrastructure security protocols and measures to safeguard against cyber threats.

· Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.

· Work closely with the Head of IT team to maintain an Incident Response Plan that includes specific procedures for responding to a ransomware attack. Test the incident response plan through simulated exercises.

· Manage access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive information.

· Staying informed about cybersecurity threats and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and laws.


4. IT Project Management:

· Lead and manage critical IT projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting all requirements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

· Regularly communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including the Head of IT and senior management.


5. Process Improvement:

· Analyse existing IT processes and identify areas for optimisation and efficiency enhancement.

· Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity.

· Collaborate with various teams to understand their unique needs and challenges, providing IT solutions that align with business

goals.


Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus but not essential.

· Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a track record of successful IT project delivery.

· Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and software development.

· Multi-unit retail experience is preferred with familiarity with the hospitality sector.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

· Ability to lead, develop and inspire a team.
